Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our website or enrolling in any Almonara programme. By accessing our website at https://almonaras.blog or participating in any programme, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Definitions
- "Almonara" / "We" / "Us" / "Our" — refers to Almonara, operated from No. 14, Jalan Gaya, 88000 Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia.
- "User" / "You" — any person accessing our website or enrolling in a programme.
- "Programme" — any workshop, toolkit membership, or multi-session educational programme offered by Almonara.
- "Content" — all materials, resources, planners, activity sheets, and information provided as part of our programmes or website.
- "Agreement" — these Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using our website or enrolling in a programme, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement. If you are enrolling on behalf of a family unit, you confirm that you are the responsible adult for that enrolment.
3. Programme Description
Almonara offers general financial education programmes designed for parents and caregivers. Our programmes consist of:
- Teaching Kids About Money — a single-day workshop (RM 470)
- Parents' Toolkit & Community — an annual resource and community membership (RM 1,420)
- Family Milestones Programme — a multi-session structured programme with certificate of attendance (RM 4,050)
Programmes are delivered primarily from our Kota Kinabalu centre. Schedules and formats are confirmed at the time of enrolment. We reserve the right to reschedule sessions where necessary, with reasonable notice provided to participants.
4. Enrolment and Registration
Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment or as otherwise agreed in writing. Places in our programmes are limited. Almonara reserves the right to decline enrolments at its discretion. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information you provide during registration.
5. User Responsibilities
- Participate in sessions respectfully and constructively
- Not share session login details or community access with non-enrolled parties
- Use materials and resources for personal, non-commercial family education purposes only
- Not reproduce, resell, or redistribute Almonara content without written permission
- Not disrupt sessions or community spaces for other participants
6. Intellectual Property
All content provided by Almonara — including planners, activity sheets, session materials, and website content — remains the intellectual property of Almonara. Enrolled participants are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use materials for personal family education purposes only. Reproduction for commercial use or distribution without written authorisation is prohibited.
7. Payment Terms
All fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Payment methods accepted will be confirmed at enrolment. Fees are due in full prior to programme commencement unless a payment arrangement has been agreed in writing with Almonara.
Refund policy: Cancellations made more than 7 days before a programme start date are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days of the start date are not eligible for a refund, but enrolment may be transferred to a future programme session at Almonara's discretion. No refunds are issued after a programme has commenced.
8. Certificate of Attendance
A certificate of attendance is issued to participants who complete the full Family Milestones Programme. The certificate acknowledges attendance and participation in a general educational programme. It does not constitute a professional qualification, licence, or credential of any kind, and does not certify any specific level of financial knowledge or competency.
9. Disclaimers
Almonara's programmes provide general financial education for informational purposes only. Nothing within our programmes, materials, sessions, or community spaces constitutes financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, or any other form of regulated professional service. Participants should seek independent professional advice for their specific financial circumstances.
While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of our content, we make no representations as to the completeness or suitability of any information for your particular situation.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Almonara shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your participation in our programmes or use of our website. Our total liability in connection with any claim shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for the specific programme to which the claim relates.
We are not liable for matters arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural events, public health restrictions, utility disruptions, or other force majeure events.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Almonara and its team members from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of our content or community spaces.
12. Termination
Almonara may suspend or terminate access to programmes or community spaces where a participant breaches these Terms. In such cases, fees already paid are non-refundable. Either party may terminate a Toolkit & Community membership with 30 days' written notice; pro-rated refunds for unused months may be offered at Almonara's discretion.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms shall first be subject to good faith negotiation between the parties. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sabah, Malaysia.
14. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Almonara.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued participation in our programmes or use of our website after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
